The Edge 01/08/2019

Wombwell Ings - Present were 9 Mute Swan, 17 Mallard, 1 Buzzard, 3+4y Moorhen, 55 Lapwing, 1 Wood Sandpiper, 1 Common Sandpiper, 23 BH Gull, 5 Mistle Thrush and 2 Linnet. Peter Kent had a Little  Gull north at 7.30am. Along the Bulling Dyke were 1 Lesser Whitethroat, 2 Blackcap, 1 Bullfinch and several Willow Warbler.
The Fleet - Viewable were 91 Canada Geese, 65 Greylag, 1 Mallard, 3 Grey Heron, 2 Cormorant, 59 Lapwing, 1+2juv Little Ringed Plover, and 14 BH Gull. P. Kent also had 25 Herring Gull over west and 17 LBB Gull.
Broomhill Flash -  Noted were 2+3y Mute Swan, 127 Canada Geese, 5 Greylag, 44 Gadwall, 43 Mallard, 10+16y Tufted Duck, 17+ Little Grebe, 1 Great Crested Grebe, 2 Little Egret, 1 Peregrine, 1 Kestrel, 135 Coot, 8 Lapwing, 2 Common Sandpiper, 2 Black Tailed Godwit, 1 Snipe and 22+3y LBB Gull.
Bolton Ings - On the open water were 6+4y Mute Swan, 65 Greylag, 41 Canada Geese, 13 Gadwall, 8 Mallard, 5 Pochard, 3 Teal, 6+4juv Great Crested Grebe, 5 Cormorant, 1 Grey Heron and 194 Coot. Also seen were 8 Lapwing over west and 1 Kestrel.
