Wombwell Ings - By far, the best day on the Ings so far this year for variety and number of birds. Present were 2 Mute Swan, 84 Canada Geese, 16 Greylag, 2 Shelduck, 173 Wigeon, 18 Teal, 16 Tufted Duck, 13 Gadwall, 11 Shoveler, 11 Mallard, 1 Pochard, 189 Golden Plover, 22 Lapwing, 4 Redshank, 2 Avocet (first of the year), 1 Oystercatcher, 1 Snipe, 2 Red Legged Partridge, 1 Little Grebe, 3 Little Egret, 1 Grey Heron, 85 BH Gull, 1 Common Gull, 8 Coot, 3 Moorhen, 4+ Skylark, 1 Mistle Thrush, 1 Song Thrush, 1 Redwing, 6 Pied Wagtail and 3 Reed Bunting.
TPT - Kingfisher, 1 singing Song Thrush and 1 yaffling Green Woodpecker.
Bolton Ings - On the open water were 2 Mute Swan, 7 Canada Geese, 7 Greylag, 35 Tufted Duck, 11 Pochard, 4 Gadwall, 4 Mallard, 2m+2f Goldeneye, 8 Little Grebe, 5 Great Crested Grebe, 61 Coot, 3 Moorhen, 193 BH Gull and 1 Common Gull. Also present were 2 Cormorant, 3 Oystercatcher, 1 Lapwing, 2 Buzzard and 2 Grey Wagtail.
