Old Moor: At least two juv Bitterns were seen again on 'Bittern Watch'. Two probable Red Kites flew over gaining height at about 12.45 (Dave Cutts).

Wombwell Ings: 2 Avocets, Whimbrel (field), second-summer Med' Gull over Broomhill village.

| The Whimbrel in the field between Wombwell Ings and Broomhill today - Jim Thompson. This bird has been present for a couple of weeks now and looks somewhat disheveled and has a limp, but despite this is does seem to be feeding well, so hopefully will survive. |
