Wintersett - Another Long-tailed Duck 19.05.13

Warm, cloudy and still,  becoming brighter mid morning.  
Anglers CP:  Highlight today was the appearance of an immature female Long-tailed Duck in front of the hide at 09.35hrs, the first May record for this site.    Curlew 1 west at 08.20 hrs. Yellow Wagtail 1,  Common Sandpiper 1 + 1 CHRes.,  Common Tern 2,  Little Grebe 1,  Cormorant 4 and  Goldeneye 1 female.   A Green Woodpecker was showing well on the Pol rocks.
Newborns - a Mallard with 10 ducklings,  Survivors -  a Canada Goose with 1 gosling, a Mallard with 2 ducklings and  Oystercatcher with 2 young.
Wintersett Res:  Pochard 1 male and 1 female.
Butterfly: A Holly Blue was flying in the sunshine.
