Low Moor 19/5/13

A nice change not to be blown sideways today ...

Results were ..

At least 5 common buzzards, 2 kestrels, 1 raven, a flock of c23 crossbills which were hanging around for most of the afternoon, an impressive flock of c70 siskins which were seen heading from Midhope Res over towards Hollin Wood, 2 cuckoos, 1 heard from over Langsett Wood area and then another seen flying from Midhope Res over to the same area as the first bird,  1 oystercatcher, 10 greylag geese, 5 Canada geese and the bird of the day in the shape of an osprey .. It came over from Thorpe's Brow at 1:10 and passed over Low Moor before heading over towards Langsett Res ..
