Another good morning at
Edderthorpe Flash. A
Bittern was seen in flight before dropping into the high and quite extensive grass on the marsh in front of the seat. A juvenile
Mediterranean Gull was amongst the Black-heads early morning but couldn't be located when I left at 09.40. Presumably the Bittern is from Old Moor but the Med' Gull obviously isn't. Also present;- Little Egret 2, Shelduck 10, Ringed Plover 20, LRP 7, Dunlin 8, Common Sandpiper 4,
Black-tailed Godwit 8, Redshank 1, Snipe 6
