Today on the wader scrape Green and Common Sandpiper and 3 Shoveler. The female Garganey was on the scrape (it likes jumping up on to one of the goal posts) with a Kingfisher and 3 Goldcrests were seen around the reserve (K. Bannister/S. Grove/JP/L. & A. Corrall).

A butterfly count provided 18 Red Admiral, 9 Small Tortoiseshell, 8 Comma and 2 Holly Blue.
