Carlton Marsh

Our wildlife group was busy mowing/strimming/staining etc in the car park area in readiness for the Yorkshire in Bloom judging tomorrow. However, Les and Andrew Corrall did their usual walk along the embankment and this is what they saw.

Garganey and 1 young, 1 Sand Martin and Kingfisher on the scrape. A Water Rail called from the reed beds and a Goldcrest sang near some large Scots Pine.

Also of note 2 returning Teal and an adult Common Gull on the wader scrape.
