A Kingfisher hovered to catch fish and a Buzzard was eating a dead Pheasant.
A butterfly count produced 38 Red Admiral, 3 Peacock (new brood), 31 Comma (most of these on bramble), 98 Meadow Brown, 48 Ringlet, 18 Speckled Wood, 2 Holly Blue, 9 Small Tortoiseshell, 96 Gatekeeper, 4 Large Skipper, 55 Small Skipper and 27 Large White. A Lesser Treble Bar Moth was disturbed from grassland (C. Parkin).
