Winter birding with summer migrants 12-5-13.

A bitterly cold couple of hours at Low Moor had a visit of about 50 swifts feeding over midhope res. 1 calling whimbrel n., 1 raven e., fem. sparrowhawk, male kestrel  and 2 displaying snipe. A pair of snipe with 2 chicks were photographed here on saturday attempting to cross the road.
