Going, going.............

Additional birds this afternoon included another Grey Plover (day total of 2) through and another Bar-tailed Godwit (day total of 3) that stopped off briefly at Old Moor and was later photographed on Wombwell Ings before disappearing.

This evenings left-overs for the night shift at Old Moor as follows: Bittern ‘booming’, 2 Black-necked Grebes Mere, Peregrine, Hobby, 5 Turnstone Wader Scrape, total of 20 today, thus a Barnsley Area record, c15 Dunlin, 4 Med’ Gulls,  7+ Arctic Terns, c800 Swifts, c350 House Martins.

Additionally the late night shift reported 11 Arctic Terns on Mere (day total 11+) and 2 Little Grebe chicks.
