Moor: The Night Heron was on the Reedbeds today and later flew onto the Wader Scrape at dusk.
Wombwell
Ings this evening: Little Egret 1, Greenshank 2, Dunlin 7, Yellow Wagtail 7, Pied
Wagtail 27.
The
Spotted Redshank was still at Broomhill this evening. Apparently the RSPB site
carried news of a Redshank on Wombwell Ings yesterday but not sure who saw it?
Whilst this is far from impossible, Common Redshank is at best a scarce bird
here at this time of year. Perhaps someone can confirm this report as reliable;
otherwise might it have been the Spot Red which also visited Wombwell Ings
today?
