Wintersett 30.08.13

18°C warm with a south westerly breeze this morning.  Another very quiet day with no visible migration.
Anglers CP: Black-necked Grebe still present on the shallows in front of the main hide.  3rd Summer Yellow-legged Gull,  Wigeon numbers up to 52.  Shoveler 5,  Teal 6 + 3 CHRes.,  Goldeneye 1 ♀ and  Little Grebe 5 + 1 WRes..
Wintersett Res:  Common Tern 1.    Also flying here:  Small Copper 1 and Common Blue 1.
Moth highlights from overnight traps included: Oak Nycteoline,  Dusky Thorn,  Centre-barred Sallow and 2 angle-striped Sallow.   The moth trap in Haw Park attracted 2 Hornets, Vespa crabro, and a Forest bug Pentatoma rufipes.
