The Edge 09/10/2019

Wombwell Ings - Present were 8 Mute Swan, 76 Canada Geese, 1 Greylag, 54 Shoveler, 28 Wigeon, 17 Teal, 14 Mallard, 3 Gadwall, 1 Tufted Duck, 2 Little Grebe, 2 Cormorant, 3 Grey Heron, 1 Little Egret, 2 Kestrel, 4 Coot, 182 Lapwing and 2 Stonechat. Early morning P. Kent and K. Fisher also had 250+ Redwing, c40 Skylark, c40 Pied Wagtail, 8 Goldcrest, 1 Chiffchaff and 1 Swallow.
The Fleet - Viewable were 1 Mute Swan, 5 Mallard, 2 Little Grebe, 2 Cormorant, c80 Lapwing, 65 BH Gull, 2 Herring Gull, 2 Swallow, 5+ Skylark, 20+ Linnet and 7 Reed Bunting.
Broomhill Flash - Noted were 3+3juv Mute Swan, 36 Canada Geese, 1 Greylag, 55 Gadwall, 32 Tufted Duck, 20+ Shoveler, 3 Teal, 2 Wigeon, 1 male Goldeneye, 6 Little Grebe, 7 Cormorant, 2 Little Egret, 2 Grey Heron, 1 Buzzard, 2 Kestrel, 80+ Lapwing, 12 LBB Gull and 4 Jay.
Bolton Ings - On the open water were 1+1juv Mute Swan, 172 Greylag, 115 Canada Geese, 55 Wigeon, 14 Shoveler, 13 Tufted Duck, 9 Gadwall, 8 Mallard, 3 Great Crested Grebe, 3 Little Grebe, 18 Cormorant, 3 Grey Heron and 212 Coot. Also present were 3 Buzzard, 1 Sparrowhawk, 1 Green Woodpecker, 1 Jay and 1 Grey Wagtail.
