Wintersett + VisMig 13.10.19

Light drizzle turned to continuous rain from 08.00hrs with 8/8 cloud and a very light south easterly.

Better than expected given the conditions.   
Going south: Golden Plover 14 (1+8+5)     Snipe 15 (14 +1)     Swallow 1     House Martin 1.
Song Thrush 10 (6 singles and 2 parties of 2)     alba Wagtail 57 (including flocks of 23 and 14)    Meadow Pipit 54     Skylark 158 in just 6 flocks ((27, 20, 8, 36, 38, 29)  with 47 S + 67 ESE + 44SE. 
Going south west: Redwing 16.
Going south east: Reed Bunting 2
Going west north west: Starling 11
Highlight was a very late Sand Martin, that dropped in with a Swallow, just prior to midday - possibly the latest here since the 1970s, then joined by 2 more Swallows. 
Anglers CP: Yellow-legged Gull 2 adults + 1 1stW.    
Wintersett Res: Chiffchaff 2.  Cetti's Warbler 3 males.
Cold Hiendley Res: Scaup 2 juveniles.
