Called at Broomhill Flash before Bolton but the Spoonbill reported by Dave Waddington at 06.30 had departed, probably back to Denaby. Only 1 of the 7 Little Egrets seen earlier by Dave was still present.
Checked Wombwell Ings next, 5 Little Egrets, 1 Greenshank, 1 Green Sandpiper and 34 Teal which left towards Old Moor.
Old Moor this morning (again Dave's sightings), Garganey 1, Wigeon 1, Teal 112, Shoveler 53, Gadwall 285, LRP 2, Green Sandpiper 7, Common Sandpiper 3.
For anyone interested in the Little Egret roost at Old Moor, 11 came in last night. The first one at 19.15 and the last 4 at 20.55. All from up the valley apart from 1 which was feeding on the main marsh when I arrived at 18.00 and went to roost at 20.15.
