Had a few hours at Low Moor today .. Results were:
2 common buzzards, 1 peregrine, 1 sparrowhawk, at least 4 kestrels, 2 ravens, 5 curlews, 1 green sandpiper which was initially heard calling but was then seen in flight as it flew towards Langsett Dam via 'Thickwoods', 12 crossbills flew from Midhope Res and over towards Langsett.. Good numbers of lesser black-backed gulls were also present and a flock of around 40 birds was seen at one point heading between Midhope and Langsett ..
