Broomhill Flash mid AM- Present were 2 Cormorant, 25 Little Grebe, 1juv Great Crested Grebe, 4 Little Egret, 2 Mute Swan, 24 Canada Geese, 65 Tufted Duck(inc young), 51 Gadwall, 33 Mallard, 1 Pochard, 3 Shoveler, 4 Snipe, 1 Greenshank, 1 Green Sandpiper, 2 Kestrel and 20+ Sand Martin.
Bolton Ings Late AM/early PM- Generally quiet, with fewer birds visible than of late. Present were 7 Cormorant, 26 Little Grebe, 3 Great Crested Grebe+2 young, 3 Grey Heron, 67 Canada Geese(flew in just as I was leaving), 10 Greylag, 31 Tufted Duck, 27 Gadwall, 12 Mallard, 8 Pochard, 3 Shoveler,1 Teal, 26 Lapwing, 1 Kestrel and 1 Common Sandpiper on the R. Dearne.
Wombwell Ings mid PM- Very quiet with no ducks present. The small list of birds that did show was 3 Grey Heron, 2 Mute Swan+1 young, 51 Canada Geese, 1 Greylag, 98 Lapwing, 1 Greenshank, 21 BH Gull, 2 Kestrel, 6+ Pied Wagtail and 3 Linnet. Early morning seems better at the moment.
