16°C, cloudy with a westerly wind. Quiet here.
A quick scope of Wintersett Res. (Swift 2, 3 Teal + 1 ACP) and a brief look on Anglers CP: (Curlew 1 north, 3rd Summer Yellow-legged gull, 2 Common Tern, Kingfisher 1 and Yellow Wagtail 1 over.) and then a jaunt over to Broomhead Res. where, over 3 hours, we had had very good views of 5 Two-barred Crossbills - 1 female and 4 juveniles. We also heard their very distinctive call which was a first, even for many of 30+ observers. Anyone got photos?
We did walk around Haw Park Wood later in the afternoon just on the off chance of finding a TBC, but to no avail.

There's a couple of photos on the Sheffield website Angie. But no doubt there will be plenty to follow if they hang around.
Thanks Martin. I'm sure there will be some good photos around later.
