The Edge 23/03/2017

Wombwell Ings - The 2 Whooper Swan and 2 Avocet were probably the birds flushed off of Broomhill Flash, as seen by PWK. Also present were 91 Canada Geese, 25 Greylag, 1 Shelduck, 154 Wigeon, 14 Shoveler, 11 Gadwall, 10+ Teal, 7 Tufted Duck, 6 Mallard, 4 Goosander, 3 Pochard, 2 Little Egret, 1 Grey Heron.12 Coot, 4 Moorhen, 8 Lapwing, 4 Redshank, 1 Little Ringed Plover, 28 BH Gull, 2 Common Gull, 8 Skylark, 12 Meadow Pipit and 3 singing Chiffchaff. K.Fisher also had a Willow Tit on Dove side and 3 Linnet.
Broomhill Flash -. Noted were 2 Mute Swan, 2 Whooper Swan, 16 Canada Geese, 46 Wigeon, 27 Tufted Duck, 17 Pochard, 6+ Teal, 5 Shoveler, 4 Goldeneye, 4 Gadwall, 3 Mallard, 7+ Little Grebe, 2 Great Crested Grebe, 1 Cormorant, 1 Red Legged Partridge, 1 Kestrel, 25 Coot, 5 Moorhen, 16 Lapwing, 2 Avocet,  2 Golden Plover, 2 Oystercatcher, 2 Redshank, 150+ BH Gull and 35 Herring Gull.
TPT - 1 Buzzard, 9 singing Chiffchaff and 1 yaffling Green Woodpecker.
Bolton Ings - On the open water were 1 Mute Swan, 2 Greylag, 11 Tufted Duck, 3 Mallard, 3 Gadwall, 3 Pochard, 2 Goosander, 4 Little Grebe, 2 Great Crested  Grebe, 1 Cormorant 105 Coot, 2 Moorhen, 230+ BH Gull and 1 LBB Gull ( with a pink dyed rump?). Also present were 1 Oystercatcher, 3 Grey Wagtail and 1 Willow Tit.
