Wintersett Res: 4 male Blackcap, a male Green Woodpecker and a male Willow Tit were heard and/or seen this morning. A Redpoll flew over. 4 male Cetti's Warblers were singing - north bank, south east bank near cattle stiles, west bank and, the roving, tail-less bird was on the north east bank, and then in the boathouse reeds about 90 minutes later.
Anglers CP: Psycho, the adult Yellow-legged Gull and his mate a Lesser Black-backed Gull attacked a Herring Gull and Psycho took the first egg from a Canada Goose nest early this morning. Sand Martin 13, Willow Tit 1m, and Snipe 2. At 15.45hrs Psycho struck again:- another Canada Goose egg from another nest, down the hatch! At 16.05hrs an adult LITTLE GULL in winter plumage, flew in.
