Wintersett + Little Gull update 29.03.17

10 degrees with 8/8 cloud and a light south westerly. 
Wintersett Res: 4 male Blackcap, a male Green Woodpecker and a male Willow Tit were heard and/or seen this morning.  A Redpoll flew over.  4 male Cetti's Warblers were singing - north bank,  south east bank near cattle stiles,  west bank and,  the roving, tail-less bird was on the north east bank, and then in the boathouse reeds about 90 minutes later.
Anglers CP:  Psycho, the adult Yellow-legged Gull and his mate a Lesser Black-backed Gull attacked a Herring Gull and Psycho took the first egg from a Canada Goose nest early this morning.    Sand Martin 13,  Willow Tit 1m,  and Snipe 2.  At 15.45hrs Psycho struck again:-  another Canada Goose egg from another nest, down the hatch!  At 16.05hrs an adult LITTLE  GULL in winter plumage, flew in.  Another new bird for the year list.  Here's some flying shots from Chris Swaine.
