wilthorpe marsh
Hi can anyone give me directions on how to get to
wilthorpe marsh from barnsley town centre .also anyone with info on adwick wash lands .and directions please ..
The closest access point from Barnsley, Old Moor to Adwick is via Lowfield rd Bolton on Dearne put that in your sat nav. If not from Old Moor turn left onto A633 Manvers Way. After 3 roundabouts turn left onto Dearne rd towards B.O.D. Stay on main rd till you reach the Angel pub, church turn left onto Angel st. After appox 100 yards turn right drive past the station over the hill onto Lowfield rd. Drive to the barrier at the end of the rd and park there not blocking any access of course. Parking also at the other end between Harlington and Adwick villages next to the River Dearne. This would add aprox 5 miles to your journey though. Gary.
There are many access points to the valley but the simplist directions are take Huddersfield road out of town and turn right on to Day house road opposite the Voltswagon dealer showroom. Then turn right and the is a footpath on your left going doen to the valley.
