Wintersett Drifts 24.03.13

Snow drifts  all around the area today.  Worst was one that blocked Crofton to Wintersett road early this morning. Sunshine mid morning started a slow thaw. Strong east wind. 
Anglers CP: Female Long-tailed Duck in among the long-staying Pochard 44 + 1 WRes.  Gadwall 9 + 7.    Oystercatchers 4 looked desperate as they tried to feed on the wave battered edges of the water.
Wintersett Res.   Redwing 5,  Fieldfare 2.
Fitzwilliam: At least 92 Waxwing were present but mobile. The flock was outside 'Pizza paradise' near Catchpenny at 09.00 but  flew over Farm Lane heading towards Kinsley an hour later.
