Carlton Marsh

Ron Marshall - The 4 Fox cubs are now showing outside the Earth at various times of the day. (Looking over the marsh from the first seat if you want to photograph them)

First ringing session of the year this evening produced 3 Willow Warblers, 1 Chiffchaff, 1 Whitethroat, 1 Blackcap and 2 Wrens.
Buzzard was always present, 2 Greylag flew south and Great Spotted Woodpecker was drumming.

We failed to see or hear an April Cuckoo, although they have been seen locally. The last time this happened was way back in 1981. Our latest ever arrival was in the spring of 1980 on May 22nd.
A male sang at Low Cudworth this morning at 05.20hrs. (Ziggy Golebiewski)
