Just back from holiday to see from the blog there has been plenty of migrants arriving. On Monday 15th at Ardsley Viaduct there were 3 Buzzards. 6 Wheatears and 2 Sand Martins were seen alongside the Dearne at Low Cudworth (Z. Golebiewski)

A Short-eared Owl was quartering over the reclaimed spoil tip at 19.00hrs and a Common Sandpiper was feeding beside the lakes.

I have just received this information of an immature Great Black Backed Gull that we saw briefly on April 1st sat out from the hide . I was able to get all the numbers from a distant photo, but only managed to make out for sure the letter Y. I still sent it in hoping the ringer could figure out the missing letter. Bingo! You will like this one Peter.
