One that got away!

Got home from a walk this morning and picked up an undulating passerine heading west at 09:20 (over Worsbrough). Unfortunately it was heading away from me, but I did manage to see a longish tail and sandy colouration. A large pipit instantly came to mind (certainly not a skylark). Thought I heard it call, but it was difficult to hear due to the breeze, it was either the pipit or a sparrow calling. Upon listening to the call of Richards and Tawny, both species have flight calls sounding sparrow-like. Having seen large pipit species in flight abroad, the flight of this bird was certainly no different.
