Wintersett 22.04.13

Cool start with sunny spells but clouded over by mid morning.  Strengthening SW wind this afternoon.
 3 year firsts were the highlights today:   A TREE PIPIT  was heard and seen on the Pol, a rare spring record. It flew off NW at 09.55hrs.   2 male LESSER  WHITETHROAT, 1 ACP + 1 Botany An adult LITTLE  GULL in full summer plumage was on ACP at 14.39hrs. 
Anglers CP:  The male Ring Ouzel showed well on the Pol all morning but was not seen after 14.30hrs. Also here: 3rd W Yellow-legged Gull and 3rd W Lesser Black-backed Gull.  Water Rail 1,  Siskin 1 over,  Wigeon 1 male,  Wheatear  6 in fields and Snipe 2. A Shelduck flew in at 12.00hrs.
Wintersett Res: Common Tern 2,  Green Woodpecker 1 + 1 ACP,  Sedge Warbler 1 maleReed Warbler 2 male,  Swift 1, 
Old Royston  Flash: Pink-footed Goose 1.
