Volunteer birders
wanted in Spring 2013 to check/count breeding Lapwing, Common Snipe and Curlew
at selected moorland edge sites between Broomhead and Padfield (west end of
Woodhead Pass). Three visits early morning to early afternoon late April – early
May, mid – late May and early June in reasonable weather. Nothing intense, most
sites can be checked from roads and paths; counts of waders and any chicks
required plus notes of any other interesting species. If anyone is interested
please contact Dave Pearce on 07867 642501 for further details and maps. Thank
you.
