I must just be unlucky! After a lunchtime session on Tuesday to locate the TBCs along with many other vocal birders, a late night followed with little success, although the midges did pretty well. Determined to get a lifer a 5.30am start on Wednesday seemed the best tack resulting in nowt, except for a less than convincing brief view of a juv and at least one bird calling. Anyway finally got better results on Wednesday pm when an adult female (photo) and at least three Juvs were in the usual spot but fairly flighty.......audible sigh of relief!
