National wildfowl counting day again. The highlights include;- Glossy Ibis started the morning on Edderthorpe before moving to Houghton at about 09.00. It's pleasing to get this species on the list of waterbirds counted today during the national counts. Little Egret 1, Greylag Goose 38, Shelduck 2, Mallard 97, Gadwall 80, Shoveler 4, Pochard 1, Redshank 6, Ringed Plover 5, LRP 2, Cudworth Common and Ferrymoor; Greylag Goose 4 with 2 broods of young, Gadwall 12, Redshank 10 with at least 2 broods of young, Ringed Plover 6, Little Grebe 4, Grey Partridge 1, Kingfisher 2
