Wintersett Streak 17.05.14

21°C,  very hot and sunny all day with a light south westerly.
Anglers CP:  Common Tern 4.
CHRes: Cormorant 1. 
Stubbs Wood: Green Woodpecker 1m.
Disposal Point: Cuckoo 1m
Lepidoptera: Highlight of the day was a sighting of a GREEN  HAIRSTREAK, Callophrys rubi,  a species that hasn't been recorded here for 17 years.    11 Dingy Skippers,  1 Small Copper  and a Small Yellow Underwing moth were  other notables.  All photos by Paul Meredith.
