Edderthorpe, Thursday morning..

The Glossy Ibis started the day on Houghton Wash before moving onto Edderthorpe Flash around 09.30ish. Shelduck 4, Black-tailed Godwit 1, Dunlin 7, Ringed Plover 6 plus the first brood of 3 young, Common Tern 1. Meadow Pipits seem to be in higher numbers this year;- 23 territories on Park Springs Tip compared with 18 last year - hopefully a sign autumn vis-miggers are in for a treat.
