Broomhill Flash mid AM- Through the stair rods rain could be seen 1 Little Egret, 5 Little Grebe, 3 Great Crested Grebe, 14 Cormorant, 4 Grey Heron, 31 Shoveler, 10 Teal, 9 Mallard, 6 Tufted Duck, 4 Wigeon, 2 Mute Swan, 1 GBB Gull, 2 LBB Gull, c14 Swallow, 20+ House Martin and 1 Golden Plover which flew north at 10.10 am.
Wombwell Ings Late AM- Ventured on the Ings but the rain blowing in made the hide uncomfortable with standing water on the ledges and bench. The poor visibility also made viewing difficult. However , there were 250+ Canada Geese, 60+ Greylag Geese and 4 Pink Footed Geese in the back field . 2 Snipe, 5 Pied Wagtail, 1 Cormorant , 25+ Mallard, 20 + Gadwall and 10 + Teal. No hesitation was needed to leave when a Grey Phalarope was reported from Old Moor.
