Another blustery day out on t'moors ..
Not too bad 'birdwise' though as an osprey flew South at 11am .. Also seen were 2 sprawks, 2 kestrels, a peregrine, c11 common buzzards and 6 ravens. Birds were streaming South on and off during the morning and c75 mipits were seen along with 31 swallows and 8 siskins .. There were 2 male stonechats perched on the bracken about 100yds or so back from the cabin ..
A text from a very excited Dave Woodriff told of a juvenile gannet which he spotted over Howbrook Dam in High Green .. It was present for about 10 minutes as it circled around and then finally it headed NE towards Tankersley !!
