Sofa

Just a brief evening visit today with just enough time to check out the somewhat neglected Wombwell Ings. Plenty of birds but nothing better than a couple of Snipe and a Greenshank wader-wise. Looks good for a Buff-breast though! More luck this afternoon though as when passing through mid-afternoon whilst working I managed to jam in on an Osprey which circled round Broomhill and Wombwell for a while before leaving towards Wentworth. Nice! News from Old Moor up to now includes 2 Spot Reds, Curlew Sand and flava Wag. Early morning visit to Broomhill produced Little Egret and Black-necked Grebe again.

Yep - neglected.
Its been reduced to an abandoned static pond in the middle of a large field.
