Wintersett update on the update

The seven Kittiwakes(4 adults and 3 first-winters) all left north-west at 17.15 during a lull in the rain. The usual third-winter Yellow-legged Gull came onto the CP before relocating to the Top Res where it was joined by a adult Yellow-legged Gull. Gull numbers on the Top Res roost included ;- GBBGull 23, LBBGull 26, Herring Gull 50. A few duck counts are ;- Wigeon 176, Goldeneye 98, Goosander 20. The Bittern was roosting in its usual reedbed at dusk.
