The Edge 12th April

Broomhill Flash mid AM- Highlight was the brief stay of 3 Kittiwakes(seen by Wim Man at 8.00am). Peering through the fog, lesser mortals (arriving later) had to be content to see 5 Little Grebe, 2 Mute Swan, 8 Tufted Duck , 5f+1m Goldeneye, 4 Gadwall 2 Shoveler , 1 Redshank, 1 imm Herring Gull, 2+ Swallow and 1 Sand Martin.

Bolton Ings late AM- From what we could see, on the open water were 5+ Little Grebe, 2 Great Crested Grebe, 1 Mute Swan, 82 Gadwall, 18 Tufted Duck, 13 Wigeon, 7 Pochard, 5+ Mallard, 1f Goosander, 1 Teal, 2 Common Gull and 820+ BH Gull. Also present were 13 Canada Geese, 5 Greylag and 1 Redshank. Along the TPT were 12+ Redpoll, 8+ Redwing, 4 Chiffchaff(3 singing), 4 Swallow and 2 Jay.

Wombwell Ings mid AM- per S.Abbott. Present were 50+ Wigeon, 10 Shoveler, 1 Shelduck, 6 Redshank, 2 Dunlin, 3 Snipe and 4 Meadow Pipit.
