After another very quiet morning, the screeching of the Lesser Black-backed Gulls announced the arrival of the first OSPREY of Spring at 10.55hrs. It gave brilliant views from the south bank of the lake and hide, before leaving high NW at 11.04hrs. A phone call alerted the Pugney's team who quickly picked it up. They watched it flying high over and then continuing north over Wakefield city centre. This is two days earlier than the first Osprey in spring 2012.
