Edderthorpe, Wednesday morning

An even earlier start than usual this morning, 05.15 (and it would have been earlier had there not been a heavy shower at 4.00) to search for Water Rails - only managed to find one. The drake Garganey is still here, Shelduck 1, Little Egret 1, LRP 2, Snipe 1, Tawny Owl 1, Sedge Warblers are now up to 4 singing males, Garden Warbler 1 new in and a shower around 7.00 dropped a flock of 25 Sand Martins.
