Carlton Marsh

The Mediterranean Gull visited the wader scrape again this morning (Jim Plant).

This was taken yesterday by Dave Smith

It had gone by late morning. This afternoon a Willow Tit was singing on the disused rail embankment. Insects on view were male and female Broad-bodied Chaser, Emperor and male and female Southern Hawker. (Dave Smith)

This evening 3 Purple Hairstreaks were flying around the top of Ash and Oak and a Red Admiral whizzed by. A Brown Hawker dragonfly was on the wing and the first juv Whitethroat of the year was ringed along with a few Chiffchaffs and Willow Warblers (CG).
