Wintersett + Insects + Pics 29.07.19

17 - 21 degrees, hot with sun and scattered cloud and a south easterly breeze.
Anglers CP: A moulting, male Ruff was on the shallows this morning. Hobby 1.  Common Sandpiper 3.  Oystercatcher 3 migrants. Kingfisher 1.  Green Woodpecker 1 + 2 MLPonds.  Common Gull 1 1st summer. Tufted Duck 2 very small young.  100 Common Scoter flew west at 20.55hrs. A Dunlin flew over late evening.  Lesser Whitethroat 1. 
Wintersett Res: A Green Sandpiper flew over south at 20.25hrs.. 
Moorhouse Lane Ponds: Pochard 5 very small young, the first breeding confirmed since the 1800's!!   Tree Sparrow 4.  Gadwall 1 female + 5 med/large young +  1 female + 7 med/large young
Odonata: 8 male Small Red-eyed Damselflies and 2 pair egg laying .  Black-tailed Skimmer 1 male.  Emperor 1 female.  Four spotted Chaser 1. 
Lepidoptera: Brimstone 1 male ACPSmall Tortoiseshell 1 MLPond.
