The Edge 24/07/2019

Wombwell Ings - Present were 10 Mute Swan, 31 Greylag, 8 Canada Geese, 34 Mallard, 5 Gadwall, 2 Little Egret, 1 Grey Heron, 1 Cormorant, 18 Lapwing, 4+1juv Little Ringed Plover, 8 Dunlin, 2 Green Sandpiper, 19 BH Gull, 4 Linnet and 3 Reed Bunting. Early morning, Peter Kent also had 1 Peregrine,  8 Teal and 8 Shoveler.
The Fleet - Viewable were 2 Canada Geese, 2 Mallard, 3 Grey Heron, 1 Little Egret, 1 Cormorant, 6 Lapwing, 8 Dunlin( flew over from the ings at 9.25am ), 2 adult+6 juv+2 chick Little Ringed Plover, 54 BH Gull and 1 juvenile Mediterranean Gull.
Broomhill Flash - Noted were 2+3y Mute Swan, 43 Canada Geese, 46+15y Gadwall, 17 Mallard, 11+10y Tufted Duck, 11 Little Grebe, 1 Great Crested Grebe, 1 Little Egret, 1 Grey Heron, 2 Kestrel 92 Coot, 8 Lapwing, 3 Snipe and 2+3y LBB Gull. Early morning, Peter Kent had a Tree Pipit in the car park.
Bolton Ings - On the open water were 12+3y Mute Swan, 3 Greylag, 1 Canada Goose, 32 Gadwall, 10 Tufted Duck, 3m+3f Pochard, 1 Mallard, 5+5y Great Crested Grebe, 8+2y Little Grebe, 7 Cormorant, 165+7y Coot, 18 BH Gull, 2 LBB Gull and 2 Common Tern. Also present were 2 Buzzard, 2 Kestrel,  1cc Marsh Harrier, 1 Kingfisher and 2 Linnet.
