Broomhill Flash mid morning- Black Necked Grebe still in residence. Also present were 5 Mute Swan, 3 Grey Heron, 9 Cormorant, 9 Little Grebe, juv Great Crested Grebe, 43 Gadwall, 15 Teal, 12 Tufted Duck, 6 Shoveler, 1 Kestrel and 1 LBB Gull.
Bolton Ings late a.m./early p.m.- An Osprey over Bolton west end at 12.40 pm flew over towards the Mere.On the open water were 2 Grey Heron, 4 Mute Swan + 2 cygnets, 19 Gadwall, 31 Tufted Duck, 6 Mallard, 3 Pochard, 3 Shoveler, , 3 Great Crested Grebe + 1 juv, 21 Little Grebe, 18 Cormorant and 2 Spotted Redshank. Also noted were 3 Kingfisher, 2 Grey Partridge, 1 Grey Wagtail, 1 Willow Tit, 1 Bullfinch and a singing Chiffchaff.
Wombwell Ings mid afternoon- Birds noted were 5 Grey Heron, 2 Mute Swan +5 cygnets, 42 Greylag,17 Mallard, 12 Gadwall, 6 Tufted Duck, 4 Teal, 3 Shoveler, 2 Little Grebe, 1 Cormorant, 2 Kestrel and 2 Greenshank.
