Adwick Washlands midday
Looking great but still no sign of any seatage. Pretty much the same as Ken but also Little Grebe 2, Mute Swan 6 + 1juv, Peregrine 2, Kingfisher 1, Fieldfare at least 550 mainly coming in from north and leaving south,
It is looking great, but, I don't think there's a big enough single stretch of open water that will enable most wildfowl to feel secure. For example Wombwell Ings is regularly disturbed but the water area is big enough to enable birds to jump to the other side away from the disturbance. That doesn't seem to be happening on Adwick so we are losing most of the birds off there. This is a real shame because it does look good.
