Carlton Marsh

This morning 5 Mute Swans included our ringed residents, 2 left south leaving a spare female. The male spent all day doing his best to mate with both females.

Also present 3 Cormorants, 5 Canada Geese, Kingfisher, c15 Siskins, 20 + Redpolls, 6 Jays, 6 Jackdaw SE & 3 S, 2 Treecreepers, 2 Goldcrests, 20 Skylarks SW, 2 Sparrowhawks & c500 Wood Pigeons south between 08.00 & 08.15hrs. (Dave Smith)

This afternoon 2 Male Migrant Hawkers, 3 Small Tortoiseshell & 1 Speckled Wood were all enjoying the warm conditions. (Ralph Hibbert)

6 Mute Swan (4 immatures) Tawny Owl calling and 1 Green Sandpiper.

Pinfold Hotel
2 Little Owls calling to each other.
