Wintersett 25.10.12

A much clearer but colder day today.  A continuous passage of thrushes made for an excellent watch with 10,000+  birds going over!

REDWING  5340,   FIELDFARE  3040,   Starling 780,  Wood Pigeon 770 W, 
Pink-footed Goose 290,  Whooper Swan 10 ( 8 SE - 7 adults, 1juv. at 11.37 and 2 S at 15.23hrs),  Merlin 1 S at 14.45,
Brambling 2 W,  Crossbill 2 NW,    Swallow 8 S.
Also present: American Wigeon 1 drake,  Egyptian Goose 3.
