Broomhill Flash mid AM- Birds seen included 2 Mute Swan, 36 Greylag, 34 Gadwall, 20 Tufted Duck, 10 Shoveler, 3 Pochard,10 Cormorant, 1 Little Egret, 1 Grey Heron, 3 Great crested Grebe, 5 Little Grebe, 3 Common Gull, 1 LBB Gull and 1 Little Owl. A Short Eared Owl was seen late AM.
Bolton Ings late AM- On the open water were 4 Mute Swan +2 juv, 80+ Greylag, 34 Mallard, 29 Pochard, 24 Gadwall, 19 Tufted, 5 Shoveler, 4 Teal, 1 Goldeneye, 8 Cormorant, 5 Grey Heron, 8 Little Grebe, 5 Great crested Grebe and 1 LBB Gull.. Also noted were 2 Grey Wagtail, 1 Green Woodpecker, 2 Kestrel, 4+ Jay, 1 Reed Bunting and 1 Mistle Thrush.
Wombwell Ings early PM- On the open water were 45 Wigeon, 28 Mallard, 15 Gadwall, 4 Teal, 4 Shoveler, 3 Tufted, 1 female Goldeneye,1 Grey Heron, 1 Little Egret and 1 Cormorant,. Also present were 120+ Lapwing, 10 Skylark, 2 Kestrel, 1 Kingfisher, 1 Yellowhammer and 1 Green Woodpecker.
