Bolton Ings - 28th October

Felt quite mild this morning at 10c with little wind. Started off well with c60 Redwings feeding in bushes, also 3 Fieldfares. On the open water were 71 Pochard, a very good count and the most I have ever seen. The limping Oystercatcher was still present and a Little Egret dropped in. Other news, Pink Footed Goose 50 east, Fieldfare 650 west, Redwing 450 west, Starling 1100 west, Great Spotted Woodpecker 1, Green Woodpecker 2, Red Legged Partridge 21.
