The Edge

Broomhill Flash mid AM- Birds present included 2 Grey Heron, 2 Little Egret, 4 Cormorant, 4 Great Crested Grebe, 10 Little Grebe, 2 Mute Swan, 34 Tufted Duck, 33 Gadwall, 22 Shoveler, 10 Teal, 4 Mallard, 3 Wigeon, 2 Pochard, 5 Snipe, 30+ Goldfinch, 2 Common Gull, 1 LBB Gull, 1 Kestrel and 7 Skylark.

Bolton Ings Late AM- At least 5 Jays highly visible on their numerous foraging trips to and from Bolton on Dearne. Also present were 3 Grey Heron, 8 Cormorant, 2 Great Crested, 5 Little Grebe, 4 adult Mute Swan +5 juvenile, 98 Greylag, 2 Gadwall, 8 Pochard, 10 Tufted Duck, 5 Shoveler, 4 Teal, 4 Common Gull, 2 LBB Gull, 1 Oystercatcher, 1 Barn Owl, 2 Green Woodpecker, 1 Gt Spotted Woodpecker, 1 Grey Wagtail, 1 Kestrel and 1 Kingfisher.

Wombwell Ings late AM ( Mick Rushton) - 1 Grey Heron 2 Little Egret3 Snipe, 42 Mallard,14 Shoveler, 14 Gadwall, 1 Teal,1 Tufted Duck, 69 Wigeon, 1 Mute Swan, 3 Bullfinch, 1 Green Woodpecker, 1 Sparrowhawk and 1 Kestrel.
