No sight or sound of Lesser Spotted Woodpecker this morning, but we did see and hear 2 Nuthatch and Willow Tit singing. 2 Lesser Redpoll were bathing in the willows and a male Goosander was on the res.
Spring flowers included Golden Saxifrage, Marsh Marigold and Butterbur. The rather attractive Willow Fomes bracket fungi (Phellinus igniarius) grows commonly on the large stands of Willow here.
